    For Individual Therapy:
If you are using insurance for Therapy Services, I encourage you to contact your insurance provider prior to your first session to confirm your copay, coinsurance, and/or deductible responsibilities. This can help prevent unexpected financial charges. I will also verify your insurance benefits prior to your initial session so we can review and compare details together.

    For all services:
A valid credit card is required to schedule an appointment. Your card information will be securely stored in SimplePractice prior to your first session, and payment will be automatically processed outside of session time.

All payments are made electronically. Major credit cards (and HSA for Therapy) are accepted.

  • Somatic Integration Sessions are body-centered sessions designed to support the integration of experiences, insights, transitions, or challenges through a nervous system-focused approach. Rather than serving as ongoing psychotherapy, these sessions provide focused support to help clients connect with and work with what is happening in their bodies.

How is this different from therapy?

Traditional therapy often focuses on thoughts, emotions, relationships, patterns, and life experiences through conversation. Somatic Integration Sessions are not intended to replace therapy. Instead, they offer a dedicated space to explore how experiences are showing up in the body and nervous system.
Clients participating in Somatic Integration Sessions are expected to maintain an ongoing relationship with a primary therapist who is responsible for their overall mental health treatment.

    Who are these sessions for?

These sessions may be helpful for individuals who:

    • Are already working with a therapist and want additional body-based support

    • Feel "stuck" despite having insight into their challenges

    • Are navigating a specific life event, transition, or stressful experience

    • Want support integrating a therapeutic breakthrough or significant life change

    • Experience stress, anxiety, overwhelm, shutdown, or disconnection in their bodies

Are interested in developing a deeper understanding of their nervous system

Do I need to be in therapy already?

Yes. Somatic Integration Sessions are intended to complement ongoing psychotherapy rather than serve as a stand-alone mental health treatment.
Clients must have an established primary therapist and remain engaged in that therapeutic relationship while participating in Somatic Integration Sessions.

Will you talk with my therapist?

With your written consent, collaboration with your therapist is welcomed and encouraged when it would be beneficial to your care. Communication may include discussing goals, coordinating support, and sharing relevant observations to help ensure our work remains aligned with your broader treatment.

    What happens during a session?

Every session is different. We may explore physical sensations, nervous system responses, movement, grounding practices, mindfulness, body awareness, and other Somatic Experiencing®-informed approaches.
The focus is not on reliving difficult experiences but on developing greater awareness, capacity, regulation, and connection with your body's natural responses.

Do I have to talk about trauma?

No. Somatic Integration Sessions do not require detailed discussion of traumatic experiences. The focus is often on what is happening in the present moment and how your nervous system is responding now.

How many sessions will I need?

Many clients participate in a short series of sessions focused on a specific goal, event, transition, or area where they feel stuck. Others may choose to schedule sessions periodically as additional support alongside their ongoing therapy. The number of sessions varies based on your needs and goals.

Are these sessions covered by insurance?

No. Somatic Integration Sessions are offered as a private-pay service and are not billed to insurance.

    What are your fees?

Somatic Integration Session (55 minutes): $175
Extended Somatic Integration Session (75 minutes): $250

    Where are sessions available?

Somatic Integration Sessions are available to clients located in Arizona and Virginia.

What training do you have in somatic work?

Courtney is a licensed therapist who has completed Somatic Experiencing® training through Intermediate III and is currently completing the Advanced years of training toward SEP certification.

  • Peer consultation is a collaborative, professional space for therapists to receive support around clinical work, case conceptualization, countertransference, and professional development. This service is grounded in Somatic Experiencing® (SE) and Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed perspectives, and may include discussion of how nervous system responses, parts dynamics, and relational patterns show up in clinical work. This is not clinical supervision and does not fulfill licensure supervision requirements.

Is this the same as supervision?
No. Peer consultation is not supervision, does not involve evaluative oversight, and is not tied to licensure or credentialing requirements. It is a collegial consultation space designed to support your clinical thinking, reflection, and growth as a therapist.

    Who is this for?
This service is for therapists at all stages—including new clinicians, therapists in agency or community mental health settings, and licensed providers in private practice—who want support with clinical work, countertransference, somatic awareness in sessions, and/or professional transitions.

What kinds of topics can we bring to consultation?
    Common areas of focus include:

    • Case conceptualization and treatment planning

    • Countertransference and therapist nervous system responses

    • SE-informed somatic tracking in clinical work

    • IFS-informed parts dynamics in therapist-client systems

    • Trauma treatment and stuck points in therapy

    • Ethical dilemmas and clinical decision-making

    • Therapist burnout, overwhelm, or activation in sessions

    • Transitioning into or building a private practice

How does your SE/IFS approach show up in consultation?
When relevant, we may explore how autonomic nervous system activation, implicit relational patterns, and parts-based dynamics are showing up in both the client system and the therapist’s experience. This can be especially helpful in understanding countertransference responses, moments of clinical stuckness, or difficulty staying regulated in session. The intention is to support clarity, presence, and clinical discernment—not to treat the therapist.

Do you review full case files or client records?
No. Consultation is based on your verbal clinical summary and discussion. No client records, documentation, or protected health information is reviewed.

Can I bring the same client more than once?
Yes. Many therapists return for ongoing consultation around complex or evolving cases.

    Is this confidential?
Yes. Consultation is held in a professional and confidential framework. However, it is not protected by the same legal confidentiality standards as psychotherapy, supervision, or attorney-client privilege. Limits to confidentiality apply as required by law and ethical guidelines.

Can I use insurance for this?
No. Peer consultation is a private-pay professional service and is not billable to insurance.

Do you provide clinical direction or supervision?
Consultation is collaborative rather than directive. I support your clinical thinking process, case formulation, and reflective capacity rather than providing supervisory oversight or directing treatment. You remain fully responsible for all clinical decisions and client care.

What is the structure or commitment for peer consultation sessions?
Peer consultation is offered on a flexible, as-needed basis. You may schedule a single session or return as needed for ongoing consultation around clinical cases, professional development, or practice-building support. There is no required frequency or ongoing commitment.

  • I am in currently paneled with Sentara Health insurance (formally known as Optima Health) for residents in Virginia. I am currently a Non-network Provider for Tricare.

I do offer out of pocket costs. Paying for therapy out of pocket offers several benefits:

    • Firstly, it provides greater flexibility and choice in selecting a therapist, as you are not limited to providers covered by insurance networks. This allows you to find a therapist who specializes in your specific needs and preferences.

    • Secondly, paying out of pocket ensures a higher level of privacy, as your therapy sessions and personal information are not shared with insurance companies. This can be particularly important for individuals who value confidentiality. I also have no control over getting audited by insurance which means insurance companies could at any point pull my notes and your private information without your consent.

    • Lastly, by investing in therapy directly, you have a stronger sense of commitment and control over your mental health journey, as you are actively investing in your own well-being without the constraints or limitations imposed by insurance coverage. Insurance companies can often have constraints of what they deem medically necessary and can reject certain services after a certain amount of time. Being out of pocket gives us flexibility in our approach and timing.

Some insurance companies take out of network mental health benefits. I can provide you with a superbill after our sessions for reimbursement.

*I am registered with a company called Mentaya.  Download their app, upload your superbill, allow them to file it with your insurance, and submit your claims from Renaissance Healing, PLLC

    Insurance information explained below:

Co-pay: is a fixed amount you pay out of pocket for covered healthcare services, due at the time of the visit, while insurance covers the remaining costs.

Co-insurance: is the percentage of covered healthcare costs that you and your insurance plan share, with you responsible for a certain portion and the insurance covering the rest.

Deductible: is the amount you have to pay out of your own pocket for covered expenses before your insurance kicks in to share the cost. Once this is met, you then owe just the fixed copay amount or co-insurance split until reaching the out-of-pocket limit.

Please refer to your plan for more information.

“A Good Faith Estimate shows the costs of items and services that are reasonably expected for your health care needs for an item or service. The estimate is based on information known at the time the estimate was created, and does not include any unknown or unexpected costs that may arise during treatment.

If you are billed for more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill.

Throughout your treatment, the provider may recommend additional items or services as part of your treatment that are not reflected in the estimate. These would need to be scheduled separately with your consent and the understanding that any additional service costs are in addition to the Good Faith Estimate.

If your needs change during treatment, your provider should supply a new, updated Good Faith Estimate to reflect the changes to treatment, and the accompanying cost changes.

You may contact the health care provider or facility listed to let them know the billed charges are higher than the Good Faith Estimate. You can ask them to update the bill to match the Good Faith Estimate, ask to negotiate the bill, or ask if there is financial assistance available.
The Good Faith Estimate is not a contract between provider and client and does not obligate or require the client to obtain any of the listed services from the provider.

You may also start a dispute resolution process with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). If you choose to use the dispute resolution process, you must start the dispute process within 120 calendar days (about 4 months) of the date on the original bill.

There is a $25 fee to use the dispute process. If the agency reviewing your dispute agrees with you, you will have to pay the price on this Good Faith Estimate. If the agency disagrees with you and agrees with the health care provider or facility, you will have to pay the higher amount.

To learn more and get a form to start the process, go to www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call HHS at (800) 985-3059.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate or the dispute process, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.

Keep a copy of your Good Faith Estimate in a safe place or take pictures of it. You may need it if you are billed a higher amount.”
  • Individual Therapy
The length of therapy varies depending on your needs, goals, and the nature of what you are working through. Some people benefit from short-term therapy focused on specific concerns, while others engage in longer-term work that allows for deeper exploration and sustained change. We will regularly review your progress together and collaboratively decide what feels supportive and appropriate for your process. Because of the depth-oriented nature of my approach, many clients choose to engage in longer-term therapy.

    Somatic Integration Sessions
Somatic Integration Sessions are typically short-term and focused in nature. Some clients attend for a brief series of sessions to support integration around a specific experience, transition, or nervous system pattern, while others may schedule sessions intermittently as needed alongside ongoing therapy. The duration of this work is flexible and guided by your goals and clinical needs.

    Peer Consultation
Peer consultation is offered on a flexible, as-needed basis. Some therapists book a single session to gain clarity around a specific case or clinical challenge, while others return periodically for ongoing consultation and professional support. There is no required commitment or set length of engagement.
